n0b0dy collective create seasonless collections; each one a continuous evolution of signature ideas and styles, utilizing existing, surplus fabrics where possible.
We produce garments made in limited numbers. Due to their hand worked nature, all styles presented will have slight, inherent variations.
All our garments are proudly American constructed and numbered in New York City.
handle with care | 04
As part of a special collaboration for ‘handle with care’ (hwc), nobody collective worked with artist and illustrator Helen Bullock. Utilizing existing designs developed from hwc collections and remade in canvas, these garments were painted on in a creative conversation with the artist. A fertile back and forth between the two, a response to each other’s mark making.
The process was documented through a short film with editing and sound design by Abby Holden.
A continuation of the visuals developed in collaboration with Bullock; embroidery, “stickers” and screen printing paint marks are applied to transparencies and cotton typewriter cloth. Weighted silk with drawstring bias cutting and 1920’s references support the painted workwear and sports driven pieces. With porcelain buttons made exclusively for the collection by n e a d pot and reformed spats reconstructed from Keds.
